WASHINGTON ― The Internal Revenue Service announced that the nation's tax season will start on Friday, February 12, 2021, when the tax agency will begin accepting and processing 2020 tax year returns.
How long after tax return is approved?
What happens after your return is accepted? Once that part’s done, the government approves your refund, which means it’s ready to be deposited or sent. It can take up to 21 calendar days after acceptance for the IRS to issue your refund, although most refunds go more quickly than that, while a small handful may take a bit longer.
