VITA (Volunteer Income Tax A-sistance) and TCE (Tax Counseling for the Elderly) provide FREE, CONFIDENTIAL, and SECURE preparation and e-filing of Federal and State income taxes.
The sites that are open are operating at reduced capacity. Meaning, the usual process of preparing taxes takes longer, in some cases several weeks longer. To locate an open site near you, use the VITA/TCE Locator or the AARP Site Locator Tools. The locator tools are updated throughout the filing season, so check back if you don’t see a nearby site listed. Also, please review the other online resources and tax help tools on IRS.gov including tax forms, instructions and publications, online payment methods and options to file with MyFreeTaxes and IRS Free File – free for most taxpayers.

If you are late for an appointment, the site may not be able to take you when you arrive, and may not be able to schedule an alternate time for you.
